Great News!!!
The hound dog from Bojanges has been rescued!  Read story below:

Everyone who has worried about Buddy, the Bojangles dog for the last 1 1/2 years can rest easy.
After 2 1/2 weeks of Sam's rotisserie chicken and 11 dog toys (which he promptly buried after playing a bit with them), he decided he would take the leap of faith and come with me. I knew yesterday when he rolled over for a belly rub it was time. He did not protest at all, though he was scared. We went first to Leslie's house to pick something up, then on to see Kelly Duncan. who had been feeding him for a long while and had made a bed for him at night beyond the Dollar General Store. Jean Wood picked his bedding up for me and met me at my house for the "transfer". We sat with him for about an hour, then Jean left. Anyway, tonight I still have a somewhat bewildered "Budman", but one who wags his tail and immediately comes over for a head scratch. Next on his agenda is complete vetting, after being on his own for so long, and then the perfect home. Please tell anyone you know that has worried about him, that he is fine, but does want everyone to know he is accepting rotisserie chickens, as dog food is not on his list of things to eat. Peggy witnessed that after she gave him a can of Alpo and he sniffed it, then promptly lifted his leg on it. I will try and get a picture of him posted in the next week. Thanks to everyone who has tried to help him over this last year!
If you would like to help "Budman" with his veterinary care or are interested in adopting him, please contact Connie at doglady555@hotmail.com.

Thank you sooo much. As soon as I called this morning, they already knew who I was thanks to you calling them. We are really thankful for what you have done for us and our kitties. They did a wonderful job with them this morning. Thank goodness Galactus hasn't broken his leg but it seems though he may have an abcess or infection in his leg. He was able to get a pain shot and both are on antibiotics. You guys at Animal Crackers are awesome. We really appreciate everything you did to help them and we will definitely make a donation towards Animal Crackers. Riverside was a wonderful experience. Thank you again and Happy Holidays! :)

Hello.  I am wrting to you today to request some assistance, or
information about a place to go for a little help.

I have fallen on slow times in my line of work, and find myself living
paycheck to paycheck.  I have been getting by, but I ran out of dog
food this morning; and have no way of buying anymore that i can think
of until I get my next check next week.

I love my dog more than anything in the world, he's an 11 yr old chow
mixed that i "rescued" almost 11 years ago.  He was found roaming
loose way out in the country in eastern nc, far away from any
habituation or possible owners, and the person who found him was going
to take him to the humane society; but there wasn't room until a week
or so later,
and he asked me to just watch/take care of the dog until the humane
society made room for him.  So I agreed to dog-sit, and fell in love
with him.  He has turned out to be the best dog ever, and has lived a
very good life for the most part.

However, having been laid off work, and living paycheck to paycheck is
difficult, and I find myself in an incredably stressful situation at
the moment.  I would never give him up or away, or take him to a
shelter--I know that my situation is only temporary, and I have stable
enough living space for him, but I am stressing out about feeding him
for the next week.

Is there any way that your organization could help me with a some
"emergency" rations so Caspian won't be hungry?  Or could you possibly
point me to somewhere local to Greenville (I realize that your
organization is based in Rocky Mount, but I don't have enough gas in
my car to be able to drive that far---the cost of the fuel would be
more than just buying some dog food!)  that might be able to help?

Thank for for your time,

Larry

Connie, once again; I and Caspian thank you oh so very much. He's
chowing down now, and I very much appreciate your help. I've attached
a couple of pictures so that you could see who you got fed and made
 happy!

Success story!
The black kitty in the photo is Jo Jo, formally known as Willimeana of CW and Willimeana. The 2 sister kittens that got dropped at CW Williams that AC helped me get spayed and all.  Jo Jo now lives in Nags Head, NC with a wonderful family and a new sister kitty(the grey one). CW also has a home in Dortches NC.

Katy,

I really want to thank you for helping me help this dog.  I really could not help him without your groups help.  This dog was destined for the pound this morning! It was God's will for us to help him.  The person which the dog took up residence with, actually called the shelter this weekend for him to be picked up.  They wouldn't come because it wasn't urgent, then the guy remembered I "rescued dogs" and gave us a call.  Your groups kindness goes a long ways and I surely thank you all for it!  If not for you all, certainly, this precious, adoptable dog, would be gassed to death this week.  I can't stand the thought of it knowing his personality.  Please pass my gratitude on.
Julie

To whom it may concern, I would like to make a donation to Animal Crackers of Rocky Mount. As a pet portrait artist for many years, I have decided to donate a portion of my commission sales to animal rescue organizations such as yours. This is a way to give back and show appreciation for the wonderful work that so many rescues do. Though I continue to offer donations to local rescues, I like the idea of my customers having a say as to where they would like that money to go. I would like to make a donation on behalf of Melonie Pratt from North Carolina, and myself. Also, I would be happy to give a percentage to you from any commissions I receive through your organization. It looks like you provide so many wonderful services to animals and their people! Please let me know if there is any other way I can assist your priceless work! Best regards, Jane Oriel www.JaneOriel.com
